Although it's great to see this remix issued on CD (and of course this mix also appears on the "Action Replay" download), no doubt it will eventually appear hopefully either on the forthcoming "Human's Lib" reissue or a remixes compilation soon.

The next edition of the Blank & Jones So80's compilation series, which is now up to volume 4, is due for release on January 7th in Germany.

Howard is included again, this time with the extended mix of "Things Can Only Get Better" - It's the first time that this mix has appeared on CD. Hopefully this remix will appear on the 3rd disc of the forthcoming "The 12" Album / Action Replay" Remastered box set.

There is no disputing the track choices on those So80's compilations but here i go off on a moan again the sound quality on the previous 3 volumes of these has been terrible being either loud as hell or they have used vinyl rips for tracks that have already appeared on CD. I'm baffled as to why Action Replay is being remastered as four of the tracks are easily available elsewhere in fact Always Asking Questions is on both releases. It will be interesting to see if the remaster of The 12" Album is just an exact copy of the original with those edits and the fact that Wounded Bird are reissuing it next month makes all this a bit of a mess. It wasn't much to ask for all the albums to be released as doubles and no doubt the box set will only be available from the website costing another £25.

Talk about moaning surely life's too short for all this!!!!!!!!!! Of course the 12" re-masters will be presented in exactly the same way as the original album. I WILL SAY THIS FOR THE LAST TIME these are not jut re-releases they are carefully re-mastered versions with carefully re-created artwork. I have heard many of these Howard tracks on various compilations as discussed & I have to say they all sound pretty shit! The version of Look Mama Megamamamix someone sent me to hear from a US compilation was truly appalling & made me think the master tape must have been damaged.
I was relieved to get the original master & find it wasn't a bad master tape but just shockingly bad ears attempting to master a track by compressing it to hell & even distorting it. If you want 50 cd's in your collection with tracks here & there from Howard all mastered by different people mostly form dubious sources then be my guest. I hope the discerning HoJo music lovers see the positive in what we are doing. By the time we have rolled out all the re-mastered catalogue fans will have all the albums & 98% of the related bonus material all re-mastered with new artwork & liner notes in the space of about a dozen or so CD's.

Just listened to this on the Action Replay remaster. This is one of my favorite versions of one of my favorite songs, and now it is complete. Excellent job, Mr. Bronnimann.
