What has happened to the full version of Total Conditioning ? Or is that the Original 1983 Mix which appears on the bonus CD ? I'm intrigued to know where the Look Mama UK mix is going to appear as well.

I've already asked about Total Conditioning over on HoJo Talk, Glenn told me that the full length version was not on the master tapes so they couldn't include it, however if it appears on a mis-labelled tape, then they will look at it again. I presumme that the Original 1983 mix is actually the b-side version that appeared on the "New Song" 12".

The process of having less tracks does not make it less expensive as we pay a licence for each album - which will be the same be it having 2 tracks or 200 tracks.

No problem. I'd assumed the licencing was done on a track by track basis but clearly if it's album by album then that explains the cost. Apologies for covering old ground, the thread is a little long to read in full. Glad to hear that the original 12" of Look Mama is due to appear and hopefully alongside the remaining missing b sides etc that haven't cropped up in the remasters so far.

I just noticed that some idiot has paid £39 for the first box set on ebay. Obviously they haven't had the common sense to buy it from here.

I imagine the box set will be going at a premium soon. A friend of mine purchased via Dtox recently and got #939. Assuming there are only 1000 units they'll all be gone soon.

Wow!

Ive not been on these boards for a while and it seems I have missed all the furore over the Remastered CDs...what nonsense!

These are the true remasters from the master! What on earth is not to like?

Okay, if you already own a version of the albums so be it...stick with those if you wont or cant afford these but for heavens sake dont fill these pages with the same blah blah blah on how you feel misrepresented by Howard and his team. It became tiresome 2 pages in but I did read on just to see what the fuss was about...cant say I still know...or care to.

I too would love to see rare Howard tracks and variations but not tacked onto the remastered albums. Let the albums stand by themselves and any fillers be placed on seperate Cds as seems to be the case.

By the way the remasters are awesome! I look forward to all that follow....

I'm glad to have these remasters. They were well made and mastered by people who really care about the music. It also supports Howard as an independent artist who has faithfully played shows in the U.S. throughout his career.

Howard is my favorite so I don't mind spending a bit more to get the best product available.
