True fans will pay for a true opportunity. I would have paid 10x the price of a VIP OH concert ticket if it was a true fan experience and not just a meet and greet.
If you build it they will come.
Create a plan that will include a true small fanbase that will give them an opportunity to have time to interact with Howard and not overwhelm him. The British Music Experience seemed to be a great idea and more personal. However - having said that even in a concert setting Howard can interact very well. Fans can each have a chance to talk to Howard and ask him a question that they have prepared and submitted in advance so he is prepared...or there can be a questionaire created and that can be a basis that Howard and the promoters (H&S??) can use to create a show and generate dialogue.
There has to be a concert with lots of fun and it has to be electronic. This is what keeps him going. Make it fun and wild. If Howard wants us on our feet - then we need to feel it in our feet from start to finish. It doesn't have to be a 1 way show - there are lots of ways Howard can include the fans.

OK thanks for the input any other suggestions for items that might be included in such an event?
I'm thinking out load but something like...
- 2 or 3 gig sets in different formats e.g. acoustic, electronic, band - memorabilia show with a merchandise/record fair - General Q and A, perhaps with piano so some songs could be played - informal meet and greet - Q and A with musicians that Howard has worked with e.g. Robbie, Robin

Snds good though maybe to make this work you just have to make any performance by Howard acoustic. To bring a band in would necessitate extra cost/rehearsal/scheduling and could restrict the venue choice. Its an intimate style of event so acoustic would suit it perfectly
I would be really interetsed in something like the BME event which was way too short!

I like the idea of the event, being a veteran of the HoJo convention in 91. Holiday camps like camber sands are good venues, I think HoJo has used Camber sands before, the accomadation is on site, there would be a community atmosphere among the fans. Butlins at Minehead or Bognor Regis with all the facilities there to enjoy could be a possibility. If it was organised in Early spring or late summer then the resort would be quieter and cheaper maybe as a venue.
I'd like to see a Fantom set with different songs to the usual ones, I'm a bit tired of hearing What is Love, Hide N Seek, LTGTKYW. We've all those old tracks on dvd to hear, although New Song has to be played.

All good input - thank you.
Any other items that you might like to see. E.g. discussion on organising your own gig, presentation from David on what management etc is about, chat with Robin Boult on working, playing and recordng with Howard, technofest with Robbie?

Maybe a poll to select a number of tracks to play at one of the performances?
